Multi-threaded MDA mode
MDA mode is a separate queue for email processing, recommended for high-traffic servers with extensive filtering, external antivirus engines etc. Thread pooling allows to set maximum amount of threads allocated at one time.
|
MDA queue for internal delivery
MDA internal message delivery- bounce backs, server generated messages, account forwards etc. will be placed to incoming queue and processed as incoming emails applying all filters, rules, antispam, antivirus and other.

Force remote connection via Remote Administration Console
People who perform 99% of server maintenance over remote connection can access the connection manager directly after startup of the config or even force the connection right away. /forceconnect=host parameter will find the host in the connection manager list and connect to it. If there is a password then it will authenticate automatically without the admin's intervention. If not the user will be presented with a password dialog. If host is not specified, only the connection manager will be popped up.

DB Migration tool- transaction support
Database migration tool performs a conversion between a any supported database engines. Transactions support lets you migrate 1000s of records within seconds.
|
DB Migration tool redesign
Now it completely ignores the source table so it may be corrupt, fields or values can be missing. It will still migrate all the fields that are present, which means it can be used to fix table structures.
|
Active Directory synchronization
Integration of whole domain with Active Directory or other directory service, synchronization of users and user groups with their members. It is possible to specify charset of the LDAP server (if not running in UTF-8) in syncad.dat file.
|
Synchronization of arbitrary DN
Administrator can define any DN (Distinguished Name) object, apart from the default Active Directory storage which is "Users". All cases of synchronization are possible (create a different domain in mail server, have a different email domain on AD and still use DN other than those).
|
Synchronization of GroupWare contacts through LDAP
Not only e-mail accounts can be synchronized through LDAP with any directory service. Now you can also propagate user information to a GroupWare Public folder so the company-wide contacts are always up-to-date and available immediately to all users.
|
LDAP logging support
LDAP has been changed to the original OpenLDAP implementation, which is now a mature product. There's support for two-level (Summary and Debug) logging of LDAP service to ldap/run/slapd.log.
|
LDAP over SSL/TLS
New version lets you use secured connections for LDAP queries. To enable this each host in the GUI has to have the protocol prefixed, if ldaps:// found then SSL LDAP is forced.
|
XML-driven component installer
New component installer is suited for simplified or automatic deployment. Administrator can define which modules should be installed always or only once through an XML configuration file. Component selection offers a way to install Administration Console only or any combination of modules.
|
Web-enabled, lightweight installer
Light-weight installer will download missing installation data from Internet, depending on the modules selected for installation. Saves bandwidth and download time on slow lines.

UDP Notification messages engine
SMTP, POP3 and IMAP changes can send notification messages to UDP server (SNMP) using a simple protocol and syntax. This is a new feature which can be used to notify a special UDP server of any action based on email account instantly. It can be enabled via the API where you have to specify the host, port and the active flag. Actions such as mail delivered, created new IMAP mailbox, deleted mail, deleted mail folder etc. will be sent to the UDP server. What is it good for? Well suppose you have some kind of an indexing server or synchronization server when you want to be notified instantly of any change on the server for each account (push a newly created groupware event for instance). Server will be notified of such action and can conduct any other steps required.
|
Remote account management enhanced
Search for remote accounts in all domains, new remote accounts have preset schedule set automatically.
|
Archive Outgoing messages
New mode has been added to archive only outgoing messages. In total there are three options: Recieved, Sent, Both. Archivation has been moved to Mail Service node.

Option to add Return-Path header in SMTP Delivery

|
Number of Total connections for all services
In Services list now Total connections made since the last start are displayed. Finally one does not need to select the service in Statistics node one by one to see the number of connections but it can be seen directly from the services and you see all totals for all services.
|
Disk space monitor supports full paths and disk names
Monitors disk space of full paths, disk names, symlinks/junctions, admin can specify what additional path he wants to have checked.
|
Session status indicator
When message is received (before actually processing with filters) the success state is used, in Session Monitor such sessions will appear with green icon (message was received but not processed). RSET turns the session back to Active state- a yellow icon. Once an email is received and filtering (antispam, antivirus etc.) begins it turns green. Useful to know if there are problems with the filters or if they simply take too long to process.

Templates: global, default, domain
Default global templates define default options and are automatically applied when creating a new account/domain/item. Non default must be manually selected when creating an account. Domain has also a new tab call "Templates" so you can define own templates for a domain. If a domain has no templates the global ones will be used. If it has templates only these templates are available. Domain templates cannot define a domain template but only account templates.
|
Templates - Inheritance and Merge
Global and Domain templates are merged, meaning that templates from both global level and domain level are available. If there are templates in the local domain and also on the global level then if the user creates a new account and there is not default template for this type of account in the domain, the global level will be checked for default template. If found it will be applied.

30 second delay penalties will be performed for each unsuccessful attempt, but it will be possible to unblock the account by entering correct password. Even the correct authentication will be penalized.
|
Traffic charts history
Displays traffic history of any traffic type within an interval specified using drop down and new edits.

Content filter new actions
Content filters support complete IMAP message flagging. DB SQL conditions and actions allow to query any DB via SQL statements and also update the DB using the filter action.
|
Color IMAP message flags
This is a great new feature users will love. Apart from the usual Seen, Answered, Forwarded etc. some email clients also support color labels and more. In WebMail and Outlook they are supported by Account Rules for users to create own rule and action to automatically set these flags: Flagged, Seen, Junk, NonJunk, Label1..Label6. When such a message is received to the mailbox, you will see immediately the flag set in Thunderbird and Outlook, as flags are stored on the server and also rules are resolved on the server and not in the mail client.
