Management - Gain Control

Well arranged and user-friendly Administration Console allows you to easily manage all server settings, options, domains and accounts. GUI was designed with respect to logical structure of all server subsystems. Tree menu allows easy navigation, while tabbed interface reveals settings organized into functional groups. It is intended for resolution 800x600 and higher, allowing easy access to all options even when connected via VNC or Terminal Services.

Installer

IceWarp offers multiple ways of deployment. Light-weight binary web installer lets you select components you need to install and downloads all necessary data from the Internet. All-in-one component installer allows you to choose to install console only, selection of modules, or even create your own customized distribution of components you wish to have installed for upgrades only or in any case.

  • Installs in 5 minutes
  • Install-from-web, XML driven component installer for remote deployment
  • Full installer package with Basic/Advanced Setup Wizard
  • Component setup management
  • Low application foot-print (from 20MB to 100 MB for the full package)

Local and Remote Windows GUI Administration Interface

Through one Administration GUI, multiple servers including remote and Linux servers can be managed with ease. Access can be protected by password and encrypted by SSL for remote connections. Several administrator roles can be established, and a subset of available settings defined for each domain admin. With built-in log viewer, session manager, text editor and other utilities, "one-place administration" is getting a new sense.

  • SSL secured
  • Password protected access
  • Administrator roles with restricted access to options (XML customizable)
  • Full Unicode (incl. double-byte) localization support
  • Multiple languages
  • Built-in account manager
  • Log viewer
  • Traffic charts
  • Calendar dialog, account selection dialog
  • Content sensitive help, collapsable syntax description panes
  • Plain text editor (memo, logs, config files) with search feature
  • Configurable basic/advanced mode
  • Software update checking
  • Run command/script and capture output for remote connections

Advanced Management Console

Administration GUI includes many features found in industry standard adminstration interfaces, which help with sophisticated system setup and maintenance.

  • Group container- apply the same settings to multiple objects
  • Pattern container- substitute multiple objects by one pattern
  • Bypass files- create exceptions
  • Message Queue Manager: display, sort, filter, view, control
  • Session Monitor: inspect, close, view history, display transfer/connection rates
  • Task Scheduler: alerts and/or runs external code
  • Event Alerts: alert or run process upon service start/stop/settings change
  • Wizards for step-by-step setup

Command-line Utility / Interpreter

The universal "tool" command is mainly intended for scripting maintenance tasks and performing bulk modifications and actions, often impossible to achieve through the GUI. It allows to modify any settings, manage, search and create accounts. It can be also useful whenever an action through a remotely connected GUI is not available due to security or connection stability concerns.

  • Direct access to server API
  • Reads internal system variables
  • For scripting and integration
  • Bulk modifications of settings
  • Connects to remote servers
  • Can be run from remotely connected GUI
  • Simple syntax
IceWarp Server runs on all Windows versions and most Linux flavours.

Logging

Logging is crucial to track down server activity, causes of delivery failures, spam and hack attacks. There are separate logs for all services, server error log. Records within defined date and time period can be viewed and date stripped for clean output or statistics aggregation. IM Archive can be viewed at the same place.

  • Two-level logging of per-service activity
  • Log cache for low latency
  • Log scheduled backup and rotation
  • Logging to SNMP server, syslog service, database
  • Built-in log viewer
  • Account management activity logging
  • Dedicated log analyzer with IceWarp specific features available

Statistics

While logs are used for debugging and processing by applications, for day-to-day maintenace an overview of server/user activity is more appropriate. For large installations, statistics can be grouped by domain instead of user account, mailing list or other non-user account. Whenever suspicious values are found, administrator can inspect the particular mailbox.

  • System Inspectors: Service Uptime, Connections, Network Transfer Rates, Memory and Volume Utilisation
  • Traffic Statistics analyzer with charting (Global/Service/Account level), day, week, month views
  • Account and Domain Statistics: monitor email usage, number of users, messages, export possibilities
  • Account Statistics: last login, recieved/sent/sent out messages/data, volume occupied
